Bag Styles of 2020
The handbag! A functional item, with an unlimited amount of style possibilities. One of my favorite things about a bag is that you can not gain our loose too much weight to be able to flaunt it. A handbag can top off an outfit and in some cases make an outfit. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, textures, and a array of styles. It will most likely be the last item standing in your closet, and can be easily the best fashion item to invest in. When trends come and go, a great purse will last the test of fashion fads.
01 Adornment
It is all about the detail! Add a think chain here, give us some fringe over here, cover it in jewels, and trim it in feathers. These are the great features that were on the runways, and ready for you to play and have fun with. Go glam or over the top with these details that you can’t live without.
02 Sustainable
Even if others don’t see the importance of being eco-friendly, our designers had no trouble embracing the ideal. There were reusable bottle bags studded and trimmed, as well as non waste patchwork bags. Another trend that was seen were perfectly matched bags, even if the designer didn’t mean for that to be included in their sustainable efforts, I believe it was another wonderful way to use up the excess fabric and materials. Fashion can be kind to mother earth, and these are wonderful ways to demonstrate that.
03 Texture
If you know me, texture is something that I love! it is a simple and chic way to add depth to a basic outfit, form, or in this case bag. From farm has shearling, to soft & plush quilted and velvet bags. Don’t forget about the sleek and sexy embossed croc. There is never enough texture you can add to your wardrobe, and a handbag is a seamless way to do so.
04 Size
Does size matter? No matter how large or small the bag, it always has a purpose and carries a lot of style. The runway was filled with bags with all sizes. Micro for only the necessities, and oversized for everything and the kitchen sink. What ever floats your boat, believe me they got it.
05 Tried and True
We all know those styles that always withstand the test of time and fad. These bags rarely go out of style, and if they do, you know that they will always be back. Personally that is my biggest problem, I have an habit of keeping what I know will always come back (I know, I am working on it). We know how the fashion cycle works, they may have some detail changes, or a bit of innovation, however the basic style is always classic. With vintage coin purses, hobo bags, the equestrian saddlebag, and the tote, you can never go wrong with tucking one away for the next go around.
06 Shapes
No matter hard shell and structured, or soft and plush, these shapes are sure to draw your eye. Inspired by nature and geometry, these whimsical bags and inspired will bring you delight.
